it's been a crazy 2 days! from friday after sch to sat 7pm, i have been stuck in sch w/ my fellow SLOs to begin the first step of our training to becoming a professional(*ahem*) SLO for pre-u sem.
I was in grp 2, 2 HSBC!

guys - jeremy, sean
we're called 2 HSBC cos we're too HOT, too SEXY, too BLACK and too COOL! came up w/ this fun idea after jeremy and sean, who are both half indians. they are our too(two) black. it has been great fun spending the camp with them, and doing all the camp activities w/ them.
though this camp may have seem boring, we did learn ALOT of useful things that would benefit us when we take on the role of an SLO for pre-u sem.
here are the charts that we learnt from:
really easy to learn from, yet also VERY effective.
we had fun using these techniques as we taught games to our peers. their games were also really interesting and different.
another thing i liked abt the camp:
we had to design a poster of our names on the 1st day and were given affirmations through post-it notes from ppl in the camp. this lasted throught he whole camp and we could add affirmations whenever we wanted to, so as to encourage others and to boost their self esteem. it's a really good system, one that will keep ppl spirits up. maybe can implement in class?
pre-u sem SLO camp is really a short and sweet experience and an intense time of bonding w/ our SLO grp mates too. it's a camp worth going. glad i din miss it!

i am so gonna miss my old home. din even get a chance to take a proper pic of my old room before we started moving. my new place is cosy (aka small), but it doesn't have a sense of ME. haha, me and my old messy-ness. been having my own room since p5, feels weird to share w/ my sis. can't just stay up and surf the net anymore. need to buy a table lamp. ah well, i''ll get used to it, and be salt and light to my sis ya? maybe this is a God-given chance. :)
wanna come see my new place? just ask me :D
tmr is official moving in. but also staying over tonight..
feels weird not to take 72, ride the lift up to the 8th floor, listen to the automated voice. walked the same old path for YEARS. been so near to grace and lots of other places. near to MJC. my new hse is so close to tamp that it actually only takes 2 stops to reach tamp, near tpj there.. gonna miss the easy access to grace hse, can stay till very late in the past.
seems just so fast, very weird. not used to it at all..

march block test on the first day of sch! econs was considered okay, but lit and hist are DEAD.
went to changi and ate:
laksa, choc brownie w/ nut, chicken tenders, tom yam ban mian, thai noodle, beancurd, spicy chicken, oyster vermicelli, toast, mee siam, laksa (again!)
din eat ALL of it myself (shared w/ grace and cat), but did eat a large proportion of it.
don't care! haha, some exe after march block test would be good...
came back home and had to help my younger sis w/ young environmentalist badge. why do they force younger kids to do such useless stuff? how did i even go through my pri sch life w/o an older sibling?
lit and hist are killer subjects! bleh.
want to be a diplomat (and outta sch!),

Peru (Jezer) and Russia being smug about theirs being the ONLY resolution that 'passed' in General Assembly.
joining SIMUN 2008 ( 13- 15 march) was the best thing i have ever done this yr. It was the best experience ever! being in the political comm definitely exposed me to alot of diplomatic speech and the use of sarcasm as a tool. It was really great!
ugly me on first day opening speech
me discussing w/ netherland, nigeria, slovakia, malaysia, philippines, congo, sudan about the zimbabwe issue.
our resolution got passed! yay! it was a brilliant resolution and a great defense by USA and netherlands. they were amazing!
we met amazing ppl ( both the Russian Federation & the USA are great teams).

real good speaker of Russia and witty!
also had the Holy See, who were really 'godly' and made lots of reference to God in their speech..
It's been a great experience. join next yr if you can!

been super long that i din update le.
been watching criminal minds. super nice show!! not as good as heroes, but really really cool.
I like the character dr spencer reid, played by matthew gray gubler. really cool character. he's the one on the extreme right :D totally intriguing character. watch it! its really a good show on behavioural analysis. super cool.
been worrying abt SIMUN, doing up resolution and making sure that i got the right procedures. gonna be real fun but i feel totally unprepared. must be cos of the lack of real in depth preparation. but it'll still be great!
most of CCA stuff are done, 'cept for second issue of the musings. bleh, don't even talk abt it. the teachers who are in charge are pushing us to our limits , and not in a good way. ppl in my cca can't stand them. bleh
got a B for cl w/ dist for oral/listening. not taking again though. kinda a risk and a waste of time. have to focus on core subjects.
marchblock test coming and its gonna be insane, need to really start studying, like lit and hist. DEAD. hah, all the best to me. :D
